The Pumkin Patch

What a fun lazy afternoon we had. My sister and I took the kids to a corn maze/fall harvest type farm over the weekend. It was rather pricey but worth it in the end to see all the fun the kids had. My sister described it as rather rural but really it was a great place to spend time with your family. My sister is very good to us and my boys love her so much. Anyway we opened the farm up and just about shut them down. Here is link www.cmfarmsllc.com so you can read all about it. We did the corn maze and I have to say my 10 year old was wonderful in helping us find the way around. My oldest liked finding the dead ends and getting us lost. (boys) lol They got to race ducks with an old fashion well pump, shoot pumpkins from a cannon, there was lots of old tractor tires piled up in dirt for them to climb as well as two different hay stacks, there was a what they called a petting zoo but that was only if the animal came to the fence which we did get to hand feed a cow and rabbits, oh and a baby goat. We went on a hayride like no other--hehehe--it was two corn combines hooked onto a tractor that pulled us over a rickety bridge to a pasture of texas long horns, cows, donkeys, mules. Lets say it was worth the dollar to ride in a caged in combine (never done that before). One of the big adventures was getting to watch pig races, yes I said pigs. Oh and one of my favorite jokes of the day was ---one of the workers walked by as my kids were playing in a big tub of corn kernals---he told them not to put their feet in there are they might get corns. Hahahahahhahaa. Ok kind of corny but it was funny. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
